The Infrared Kit uses a wireless nurse call transmitter connected to the Infrared Monitor to provide a quick to install reliable people movement detection system. The Infrared Kit will detect a person leaving their bed or moving into an area where they could be at risk, leaving their home for example. Alarm signal is transmitted to the alarm pager, with an operating range of up to 150M.
The Infrared Monitor is supplied with a bracket that enables it to be located at the bedside of the patient. If the patient attempts to leave their bed, their legs are detected before they touch the floor. An instant alarm is transmitted to the alarm pager. A connection cable is supplied for connecting the Infrared Monitor to the transmitter. The connection is monitored by the transmitter resulting in an alarm if the cable is removed.
The Infrared Monitor, has a dual functionality switch that provides two modes of operation. Instant re-trigger, the transmitter will send an instant alarm to the pager each time movement is detected. Instant with delayed re-trigger. In this mode, the transmitter will send an instant alarm to the pager but will not send subsequent alarms until the Infrared sensor has had three minutes of clear (no further movements) sight. This feature is useful when carer’s are attending to the patient and do not want to be continually resetting alarms. After 3 minutes of clear vision the PIR will detect and raise an alarm to further detected movements.
